22nd September 2007 - Widemouth Bay

Didn't decide to hit the surf until about 5pm by which then the tide was well and truly on its way out. However I was rearing to try my new Rheopaipo board out. Had some good waves and a totally new experience. The 4 to 5ft beach breaks was a little sketchy as I didn't really fancy busting the nose on a £130 board on its maiden voyage. The swell was picking up out back but it must have been hitting a bank as it died down what looked like from 5ft to 2ft an hour later when I finally decided to call it a day. looking forward to Monday heading down to fistral as the surf report suggest 10ft slabs could be in store.

24th September 2007 - Newquay Harbour

Well What can I say we planned to head down to the surf capital of the UK around about 9am but after having a minor road traffic accident we really thought our plans were a dead link. We finally got down to Newquay at around about 1pm and although Fistral was looking pretty rough, however the harbour was pumping. The swells were big and wedgy some 8ft plus and it was to be a blast. After paddling out for the first session Jay and I caught some of the best waves of the year. As the tide slowly rolled in home the waves became increasingly bigger however turned a little choppy on the return. We came out for a breather and some food. I felt so pumped up that I decided I was going in for another hour though Jay and Tash had called it a day. The tide was on its way out and once again the swell was churning out some monstrous slabs of. This was to be the best session and as I bagged myself wave after wave, the fading light and my aching body finally gave in to the smell of fish and chips lol. The best session yet x.

1st October 2007 - Widemouth Bay

The session back at Widemouth was a good'n. With 3ft and occasionally pushing 4ft I managed to get some good practice working on some variations and having a crack at a bit of drop knee. Plenty of space in the water as there were only a few other guys that I knew in there so yeah well enjoyed.

2nd October 2007 - Northcott Mouth

Got down to the beach around about fiveish and paddled out to what looked pretty ok from the car park. At a guess it looked like 3ft cleanish and certainly not as prominent as yesterdays session at Widemouth. More drop knee practive although missed some of the best sets of the session due to cramp in my leg. If all is well I'm hoping to get down to Fistral in a few days time.

4th October 2007 - Fistral Beach / Widemouth Bay

Left for Fistral at around about 11am hoping that the surf report wasn't going to be too good to be true. 5ft clean and firing just as it said so spent a two hour session in the sun in the sea practicing yet more dropknee. One of the things that hit me was the fact that we are now in October and there are still people sunbathing and eating ice-cream. Left for a session at Widemouth in the afternoon. Busted some more dropknee for the two hour session so all in all had a good 4 hour bodyboarding session today at two locations. Must say that the breaks at Widemouth was a lot better than of those at Fistral today. I'm tired so if there's any spelling error's or bad grammar then im sorry.

10th October 2007 - Widemouth Bay

Good session though not as clean as MS had mentioned it would be but certainly got a lot cleaner by the afternoon. Had a good 31/2 hour session no dropknee today mostly prone. Probably suffered some of the most outrageous wipe life today but all good fun. I swear some of the swells were more like 10 - 12ft than 5ft Mr MS...  Plan to hit the waves tomorrow afternoon might drive down to secret spot.
